More about this game
In Island Explorer: The Great Escape, your ultimate goal is to repair a shipwrecked boat and leave the island. You must carefully manage your food, water, and energy meters while gathering wood, stone, and berries. As you collect resources, you can craft an axe and a pickaxe to access metal and stone more efficiently. The game ends in failure if your food or water meters deplete completely to zero, or in success when you repair the boat four times.
Tips
- Gathering resources costs 5 stamina. Always gather food from berry bushes early on to keep your hunger and energy meters high enough to work.
- Stamina regenerates much faster (3.8 per second instead of 0.6) when both your food and water meters are kept above 20 percent.
- Crafting an axe costs 2 wood and 2 stone, while a pick costs 2 wood and 3 stone. Prioritize these to unlock metal ore.
Questions
How do I get metal for the boat?
You must first craft a pick using 2 wood and 3 stone. Once you have a pick, you can gather metal from the blue ore vein on the right side of the island.
Why can't I gather resources from a tree or rock?
You might not have enough energy, as gathering costs 5 stamina. Alternatively, the resource node might be on its 4.5-second cooldown, or you lack the required crafted tool.
How do I keep my water meter from running out?
Your thirst meter decays at a rate of 1.35 per second. Gathering wood from palm trees slightly replenishes your water meter by 1.5 points, keeping you hydrated while you work.
