More about this game
In Spellbound Checkmate, you face off against an enemy commander on an 8x8 grid. Each turn, you choose to move like a chess rook (up to three tiles in a straight line) or a knight (an L-shape leap). After moving, you can cast a spell if the enemy is within two tiles. Collect healing and damage runes scattered on the board to boost your stats. The duel ends when either your archmage or the enemy commander's health reaches zero.
Tips
- A spell deals 7 damage if the enemy is 1 tile away, but only 5 damage if they are 2 tiles away.
- Healing runes restore 6 health, while damage runes add 3 extra damage to your next spell.
- The enemy commander will also collect runes, so try to grab them first or block their path.
