More about this game
Neon Protocol: Grid Hack is a logic puzzle where you must place four specific shapes onto a 4x4 grid. The goal is to match the exact number of filled cells required by the glowing bars on the edges of the board. Some cells are permanently locked or forbidden, forcing you to find the precise arrangement. As you clear stages, the difficulty increases from easy to hard, and you earn gold to unlock new terminal skins and effects.
Tips
- Pay attention to the fixed locked cells; they already count towards the row and column requirements.
- If you get stuck, wait 18 seconds for a glowing hint pulse to show you where a piece belongs.
- Use the reset button to quickly clear the board if your current arrangement is completely blocked.
Questions
Why does the board flash red when I place a piece?
The board flashes red if you try to place a piece on a forbidden cell, over another piece, or if it exceeds the required cell count for a row or column.
How do I unlock new colors?
You earn gold by completing stages. Tap the Shop button to spend your gold on new terminal colors like Cyan, Magenta, or Amber, and new visual effects.
How many pieces do I need to place?
You must place all four pieces from the tray onto the grid to complete the stage.
