More about this game
In Switchlight Lab, your goal is to synchronize a grid of lights by turning them all blue. Tapping an edge switch inverts the state of its entire row or column, changing blue lights to amber and vice versa. As you progress through the six levels, the grids expand from 3x3 up to 6x6, requiring more complex planning. Try to solve each matrix in the minimum number of moves to achieve an optimal sync.
Tips
- Focus on the par number shown at the bottom; it tells you exactly how many switches you need to tap for a perfect sync.
- Tapping the same switch twice just reverts the row or column to its previous state, wasting a move. Always plan ahead before you tap.
- Work on intersecting rows and columns; flipping a row changes the state of one light in every column, which can help or hurt your progress.
Questions
How many levels are in Switchlight Lab?
There are exactly 6 levels to complete in the game. You start with a 3x3 grid called Calibration and eventually work your way up to a 6x6 grid called Full Spectrum.
What does the par number mean?
The par is the minimum number of toggles required to solve the current matrix. Matching this exact number of moves gives you an optimal sync message when you win.
Can I undo a move if I make a mistake?
Yes, you can tap the Undo button on the screen or press the U key on your keyboard to reverse your last switch action without restarting the level.
